Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 40 min
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

Vegetables and greens are well washed.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Solid (cottage cheese) three cheese on a grater (both small and large will do).

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Salt, pepper, add cream cheese. Using pressing movements with a fork, mix the cheeses and spices into a homogeneous mass.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

Cut out the remains of the tomatoes with a sharp knife "tails".

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

We make shallow incisions - about this deep. If you cut too deep, the tomato may fall apart.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

The result is a closed "bud" with 6 petals.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

Using the rounded part of a knife or spoon (if there are none - we work with our hands, helping ourselves with a sharp knife) we clean the buds" from the pulp. We pull out all the seeds, if necessary, we trim the internal partitions.

  8. Step 8:

    Step 8.

At the bottom of the "bud" cut a small hole with a sharp knife. In the hole we will insert "stems" of green onion tulips.

  9. Step 9:

    Step 9.

Stuff the tulips with stuffing, lay the stuffing tightly, squeeze the petals for a firm fixation. For my tomatoes, it took about 1 teaspoon of mass per 1 "tulip".

  10. Step 10:

    Step 10.

If any tomato still cracked in the process, don't worry. When serving, you can put it crack down - and it will not catch your eye. However, such tomatoes should be pressed more tightly to the cheese.

  11. Step 11:

    Step 11.

If you have cheese left, make balls out of it or roll a sausage and cut it to make such flat wheels.

  12. Step 12:

    Step 12.

We make grass from cucumber. To do this, cut it in half or into 3 parts to get 2-3 hemp. Then we cut each stump lengthwise into 4 strips. Each strip - in half, and each half - diagonally. The process is clearly shown in photos and videos.

  13. Step 13:

    Step 13.

    Onion cut into rings.

  14. Step 14:

    Step 14.

We form stems and leaves of tulips from green onions. We cut off the bottom of the bulbs, while white bases should remain (tulips are bulbous plants after all). We cut off as many tips as we use tomatoes (in my case - 5). On the cut-off tips, we will attach tomatoes at a level above the "grass" from cucumber. Therefore, you need to measure their height. Cut off the tips for fastening of different lengths - it will be more beautiful. Cut the remaining onion for sprinkling.

  15. Step 15:

    Step 15.

Put lettuce leaves on a flat dish. On top - stems for tulips from green onions. We attach tulips from tomatoes to the cut stems of green onions. We lay the grass from cucumbers, salt only cucumbers, you can pepper. Decorate the salad with the remaining green feathers, forming tulip leaves. Add the greens, sprinkle the dish with chopped green onion.

This salad does not have to be served on the table right away, but you need to eat it on the day of cooking, otherwise the cheese with garlic and onions will begin to spoil and emit an unpleasant smell. You can prepare it in advance - for example, in the morning on the day of arrival of guests. Then, after cooking, cover the salad with cling film and put it in the refrigerator to wait for serving.
