Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
Prepare the products needed to make homemade lemonade from oranges. You will need a ripe juicy orange with a bright taste, drinking water, any sweetener and a little citric acid (don't look at the bowl with sugar - I forgot to remove it)). Since the drink will not be subjected to heat treatment, it is important to take high-quality good water, which can be drunk raw, not boiled.
Step 2:
The orange should be thoroughly rinsed, preferably with a brush. Then pour boiling water over the orange, wipe it dry with a kitchen towel and put it in the freezer for at least 3 hours.
Step 3:
The frozen orange must then be removed from the freezer, allowed to defrost to the point where it can be cut with a knife. Cut the orange into small pieces and put it in the bowl of a blender. Be sure to remove the seeds from the orange, if there are any.
Step 4:
Chop the orange in a blender into even smaller pieces, but not quite into porridge or mashed potatoes.
Step 5:
Put the crushed orange in a large saucepan or bowl. Add about 500 ml of water and leave for 15 minutes at room temperature to infuse.
Step 6:
Then strain the drink, add another 1.5 liters of water, sweetener to taste, citric acid and stir well. Let the homemade lemonade brew for about an hour and then serve. Such lemonade can be stored for no more than a day at a room temperature of about 20 degrees.
Homemade lemonade made from oranges (sometimes this drink is called orangeade) can be relevant not only in the sultry summer, when it can be served chilled with ice cubes, but also in winter. In the cold season, just serve lemonade at room temperature, it will successfully complement almost any meal.
Choose ripe sweet oranges with a rich taste to make the lemonade expressive! And thoroughly wash the skin to remove all possible "pre-sale" substances that are sometimes applied for better storage and transportation of goods.
