  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

Prepare all the necessary products. Of course, chilled squid carcasses are a priority. If suddenly you have only frozen ones available, defrost them correctly: immediately after the freezer, put the squid in the refrigerator for 6-8 hours and only then finally defrost them at room temperature. We will only need juice from lemon, so we can take ready-made factory-made juice.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Wash and clean the squid well. First you need to remove the thick pink skin, and then a thin film both outside and inside. Clean carefully so that the carcasses remain intact.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Pour lemon juice over the carcasses. If you take the juice directly from the lemon, pre-wash it with very hot water - so the lemon will give more juice. Also use a small sieve so that the bones do not get into the marinade.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

Pour soy sauce over the squid carcasses. Choose soy sauce of natural fermentation, do not buy a cheap substitute. Even better, if you take a special soy sauce, which is recommended for use in marinades.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

If you wish, you can add your favorite herbs and seasonings to the marinade: ground black pepper or garlic powder will work perfectly! Leave to marinate for 15-30 minutes.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

Meanwhile, light the firewood, wait until they burn out and turn into coals. Birch firewood is recommended for cooking on the grill, boards of unknown preparation are not suitable for this purpose. You can also use ready-made factory-made coals. In this case, heat the finished coals well.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

Take a grill for cooking on the grill, lay out the squid carcasses. As soon as the coals burn out, put the grill on the grill and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, turning the carcasses once. Squid are cooked very quickly.

  8. Step 8:

    Step 8.

Such squid can be eaten both hot and cold, as well as used for making salads and snacks. Bon appetit!
