Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
To prepare the marinade, take a spacious bowl and pour soy sauce into it.
Step 2:
Add liquid honey. If the honey is candied, then it can be melted by warming it a little in the microwave.
Step 3:
After the honey, add a little tomato paste or ketchup.
Step 4:
Then add paprika and dried basil. Garlic can be used both fresh and dry, ground.Fresh must be passed through a garlic press. Mix all the marinade ingredients well together.
Step 5:
Marinate any parts of the chicken in the resulting marinade and leave to stand for at least an hour. You can cook them in the oven. to do this, spread the chicken on a baking sheet and put it in the oven, preheated to 190 degrees. I cooked chicken wings and they were baked for 40-50 minutes. Soy marinade with honey gives the chicken caramel notes. Try it and you!
I really like to add dry basil for marinating chicken. In this marinade, it perfectly combines with all the ingredients and gives the dish an Asian flavor. But you can change the spices to your liking.
Coriander and cilantro will add a little woody flavor. Oregano and marjoram will reveal all their aromatic notes during heat treatment. Thyme and hot pepper, green onions and parsley are also perfect for chicken.
When baking chicken in the oven, a delicious, appetizing, crispy crust is formed on it. Thanks to the bright marinade, the finished dish becomes a beautiful caramel color. It will be simply impossible to break away from such a chicken.
When marinating, cover the bowl with chicken with cling film or a lid so that it does not chafe and dry.
This marinade is also suitable for cooking a whole carcass. Only the pickling time will need to be increased by 3-4 hours. You can even pickle the night before. The longer it is marinated, the more fragrant the meat will be.
