Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
Prepare all the necessary ingredients for making yogurt dressing. Yogurt of any fat content is suitable, the main thing is that there are no food additives in it.
Step 2:
We put natal yogurt in a bowl, add ground black pepper, garlic passed through a press and Italian herbs. If desired, you can experiment with spices by adding your favorite seasonings to the sauce.
Step 3:
Then add a pinch of lemon zest and a little lemon juice.
Step 4:
Also pour soy sauce into the bowl.
Step 5:
Mix all the ingredients so that the sauce is homogeneous. We try the dressing to taste and, guided by my preferences, if necessary, add additions to the sauce.
Step 6:
Ready-made yogurt sauce is served with a vegetable salad. Pour the remaining sauce into a jar and put it in the refrigerator. Since there is acid in the dressing, which can cause the stratification of yogurt, such a sauce is not prepared for the future. This dressing can be stored in the refrigerator for 2-3 days, so it is better to cook the sauce in small portions.
The value of yogurt dressing is determined not only by taste, simple and quick preparation, but also by low calorie content. This yogurt dressing goes very well with vegetable salads, baked fish, meat or chicken. It can also be served with boiled vegetables or baked potatoes.
Yogurt dressing will also be a good addition to shish kebab, grilled fish and grilled vegetables. However, it is worth remembering that taking the sauce with you on a picnic, it is better to transport it in a refrigerator bag or in a chilled form in a special foil bag.
To prepare the dressing, you can use your own yogurt, cooked at home, and you can buy any natural yogurt in the store without any additives. Yogurt can also be replaced with low-fat sour cream. Thus, it is possible to control the density, fat content and caloric content of the dressing, giving preference to one or another yogurt (sour cream).
