Horseradish warms perfectly in the frosty season, and is also believed to help in the fight against colds. In addition, it just has a good and pleasant taste, it is easy to drink and does not cause a hangover. Therefore, as a drink for a festive feast, it is also quite suitable.
Homemade horseradish is fragrant and fragrant. It turns out to be slightly yellowish in color. This drink is stored for a long time, so you can make it immediately in large volumes and get it on occasion. But since the drink is made quite quickly (10 minutes of work and 5 days of waiting), it will be able to help out if a holiday is expected and you want to serve something special on the table, and not banal store drinks.
With all the advantages, there is one more thing - it's easier to cook it! As a basis, any strong alcohol is suitable - homemade or store-bought vodka, diluted alcohol (diluted to 45 degrees), moonshine. The latter is better to be of high quality, double distillation. Although this is an optional condition, since horseradish greatly improves the taste and the drink will still turn out delicious.
So, the horseradish root is mine, dried, cleaned, then three on a grater. We put the grated horseradish in a glass jar with a volume of 1 liter. In a separate bowl, mix honey and lemon juice, mustard. We put the mixture to the horseradish. Fill everything with vodka, mix, seal tightly, shake.
Put in a dark place at room temperature for 5 days, shake the jar every day. When the specified time has passed, we filter the liquid through gauze folded into 4 layers. Next, filter through a thick layer of cotton wool.
The fuck is ready. We pour it into a glass bottle, seal it tightly and put it away to be stored in a dark, cool place. Stored horseradish without loss of properties for 2-3 years.
