Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
Prepare ice from filtered water in advance. It is advisable to have a sufficient supply of ice in the freezer all the time. It is convenient to use special bags for making ice.
Step 2:
Prepare the necessary components, measure the liquid according to the recipe.
Step 3:
Take a tall glass (highball) and send ice into it. I also pre-cool the glass itself in the freezer. You can cool it with ice, but then the first portion will have to be thrown away and throw fresh ice.
Step 4:
Pour vodka into a glass, and then liqueur and lemon or lime juice. It is also allowed to pre-mix them in a shaker.
Step 5:
Top up the glass with sprite.
Step 6:
Mix gently so as not to release gas. Literally a couple of movements with a spoon.
Step 7:
Decorate with a slice of pineapple and insert a cocktail tube. Or decoration at your discretion, it is customary to use tropical fruits. The cocktail is ready, we serve it immediately. Like any long drink, it is customary to drink the Blue Lagoon in small sips through a cocktail tube. Have a pleasant tasting.
For the first time the Blue Lagoon saw the light in "Harry's New York Bar". The cocktail was created at the very beginning of the 1960s of the last century. The person who first made this cocktail is considered to be Andy Mcelon, he is the son of the most famous bartender Harry Mcelon. Fans of bar culture and history will immediately recognize his surname.
Long drink (English long drink, literally "long drink") is an alcoholic cocktail of a sufficiently large volume (more than 120 ml, the average volume is 160-400 ml). It is usually prepared with a lot of ice, so it is drunk for a long time, as it melts, through a straw. It refreshes well on hot days.
It's nice that there is also a non-alcoholic Blue Lagoon recipe:
* crushed ice and a slice of lemon.
* Blue Curacao syrup – 30 ml;
* lemon juice – 15 ml;
* sprite – 200 ml;
Cook the way you like it.
