Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
To prepare raisins on moonshine, you will need high-quality homemade moonshine, without a fusel smell, well filtered, double, or better triple distillation. Ideally, if it is related, that is, cooked in the same way on raisins. Plus you will need: seedless raisins, ground hot pepper, orange peel, cinnamon stick, sweet clove bud and vanilla pod.
Step 2:
So, raisins of the "Kish-mish" variety should be sorted out from garbage and twigs and thoroughly rinsed under running water. Discard in a colander and let the water drain.
Step 3:
Add raisins to a bottle of moonshine.
Step 4:
Remove the peel from the orange, trying not to touch the bitter white part (otherwise the drink will be unpleasantly bitter). Pepper the tincture to taste, but the main thing is not to overdo it with pepper.
Step 5:
Add cloves and cinnamon stick. Break off literally three centimeters from the vanilla pod and add it to the bottle together with the seeds. The tincture should be kept in a dark place for a week, periodically stirring the contents by shaking. Then filter it in any convenient way.
I always filter the tinctures through a funnel, the neck of which is stuffed with cotton. And at least two or three times. Yes, it's slow, but the result is always impressive. The tincture will be as clean and transparent as possible.
Instead of a funnel, you can make a filter from a cut-off bottle neck - this is the most budget-friendly way.
The drink tastes like spicy oriental liqueurs. Therefore, it is women who will be able to appreciate all the delights of raisins on homemade moonshine.
It is believed that if you add a couple of crushed juniper berries to the raisin before insisting, it will become even more delicious, acquiring obvious coniferous notes. But this is a completely different story…
Tincture is stored in the refrigerator and drunk chilled.
It is not superfluous to remind that excessive alcohol consumption negatively affects your health and the health of others.
Have a pleasant tasting!
