Cooking method
-
Step 1:
How do you make squid and rice salad? Here are the ingredients.
-
Step 2:
Pour boiling water over the squid and clean off the skin and innards. Then drop them into boiling salted water and cook over medium heat for 2–3 minutes after it returns to a boil. Let them cool.
-
Step 3:
Cut the cucumbers into small cubes.
-
Step 4:
Cut the cheese into small cubes too.
-
Step 5:
Cut the squid into strips.
-
Step 6:
Add the cooked rice and corn to the chopped ingredients.
-
Step 7:
Mix everything together and dress with mayonnaise.
- It's worth making your own mayonnaise; it tastes better and is better for you. You'll find some good homemade mayo recipes here. And you don't have to use mayonnaise alone — sour cream or plain yogurt work too, on their own or mixed with mayo in any ratio you like to cut down on calories.
- Tip: for rice dishes that come out great every time, read up on how to pick the right rice and the secrets to cooking it.
- How do you pick good canned corn? Always check the date on the can. If it comes in a glass jar, take a close look at the kernels: they should be uniform in size and color, whole, and unblemished. The ingredient list shouldn't include dyes, preservatives, or flavor enhancers.
