Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
Prepare all the necessary products. Take any pasta to your liking, I took the usual spaghetti. Shrimps are large, royal, small salad shrimps are not suitable. Cream of medium fat content, - usually cream of 20% fat content is taken for sauces. Bacon will suit anyone: both raw, and smoked, and boiled, but keep in mind that smoked bacon will give its flavor to the finished dish. Since it's not so easy to find real parmesan right now, you can
Step 2:
Boil the pasta according to the instructions on the package. I usually cook pasta to the state of aldente and this is usually 1 minute less than indicated by the manufacturer.
Step 3:
While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a frying pan, add the peeled garlic cloves. Fry until lightly browned for about 5 minutes over low heat, then remove the garlic from the pan. We need him to give his flavor to the butter.
Step 4:
Cut the bacon into small cubes or thin strips.
Step 5:
Defrost the shrimp. If you have pink shrimp, then they are already cooked and thawing will be enough. If you have gray shrimp, then they will need to be boiled for about 5 minutes. Peel the shrimp.
Step 6:
Add the bacon to the pan first, fry for about 5 minutes
Step 7:
Then add the shrimp and fry all together again for about 5-7 minutes.
Step 8:
In a separate bowl, combine the grated parmesan. I use already grated parmesan in factory packaging. If you have lump cheese, it does not matter on which grater it will be grated, because the cheese will melt in the finished dish anyway. Combine the yolk with the grated cheese.
Step 9:
Pour in the cream.
Step 10:
Stir the sauce until smooth.
Step 11:
Toss the pasta in a colander, then return to the pan.
Step 12:
Pour over the egg and cheese sauce.
Step 13:
Stir intensively so that the sauce mixes well with the pasta and the cheese melts.
Step 14:
Add the contents of the pan and mix again.
Step 15:
Delicious pasta Carbonara is ready! Enjoy your meal!
How to boil pasta properly?Take a spacious saucepan, pour water at the rate of 100 grams of pasta 1 liter of water. The main thing is that the products float freely in the liquid. Add salt to taste. Bring the water to a boil. It is important to put the pasta in boiling water, otherwise they may stick together. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until fully cooked or al dente (cooking time is always indicated on the package). Put the finished pasta in a colander and let the liquid drain. It is not necessary to rinse the finished pasta with water. If you do not plan to immediately mix the pasta with the sauce, then in order to avoid sticking hot pasta, you can send them from the colander back into the pan and add a teaspoon of olive oil (or a piece of butter)and mix gently.
