Apple, Sour Cream, and Mint Fruit Dessert

A quick, healthy dessert that's just right for breakfast. Instead of sour cream, you can use plain yogurt with no additives or dyes, as well as Greek yogurt or a farmer's cheese cream.

  • For this dessert you'll need apples, sour cream (or yogurt), condensed milk, and lemon juice. 1. Peel and core the apples and cut them into slices. For dessert, it's best to use juicy sweet-and-sour varieties — Semerenko, Granny Smith, and similar ones with a pronounced flavor. 2. Sprinkle the apple slices with lemon juice so they don't brown, and toss. 3. Put the fruit in a blender. Add the condensed milk to the apples and blend everything until smooth. 4. Put 2 tablespoons of applesauce in the bottom of each dish, top with 3 tablespoons of sour cream, then another 2 tablespoons of applesauce. Alternate the layers until you run out of ingredients. 5. Garnish the top of the dessert with mint leaves.
