Hot chocolate in Italian

This chocolate has a pronounced taste of cinnamon and vanilla. When I hear the phrase "Italian hot chocolate", I immediately remember the bicherin that I tried in a coffee shop in Turin on the square in front of the royal palace. And although my recipe has nothing to do with bicherin, it is also delicious and fragrant.

Hot chocolate began its existence long before the advent of coffee and tea.
The cocoa plant began to be grown about 3-4 thousand years ago by the Olmec tribes who lived in the southern part of modern Mexico. But the first chocolate was not made in solid form, as we are used to seeing it now. Instead, the cocoa fruit was crushed and mixed with water to make a kind of paste. She became the first chocolate drink.
The legend, which is closer to us in time, says that Europe learned the taste of chocolate in the XVI century. It was brought to Spain in 1527 by General Cortes along with cocoa beans. For the first time, he tasted a cold whipped thick cocoa drink, with vanilla, hot pepper and other spices, at an Aztec feast. So gradually chocolate conquered the whole world.
