Cabbage Rolls Appetizer for Winter
Just a handful of ingredients and you've got a vitamin-packed treat on the table! Green cabbage earned its popularity not only because it keeps so well, but also because it's loaded with vitamins and minerals. Here's a cabbage recipe I picked up from my grandmother — this appetizer is made from the most basic ingredients and comes together easily.

Rinse the head of cabbage and separate it into individual leaves.

Then drop them into boiling water for 5 minutes.

Drain the leaves in a colander to let the water run off.

Wash and peel the carrots, then grate them on the coarse side of a grater.

Then add the finely minced garlic.

Step 7:
Mix the carrots and garlic together.

Step 8:
Roll each cabbage leaf around a little of the garlic-carrot filling to make small rolls.

Do the same with all the cabbage leaves.

Place them in a pot and pour boiling brine over the top. At this point you can pack the rolls into a sterilized jar and seal it for storage, or simply keep the pot of brine in the fridge — two days is enough for them to pickle.
