To make beetroot spread, you need only five ingredients: beetroot, apple, garlic, cream cheese, salt.
Boil the beetroot in a uniform so that the color, taste and vitamins are preserved in it as much as possible, or bake it in the oven (the second method is more useful). Cool, peel and grind. This can be done with a blender, if not, then on a fine grater. A fresh apple (it is better to take a sweet and sour variety, then it will taste better) is peeled and pitted and also crushed into puree.
Garlic is needed for this recipe in summer (spring), it has small cloves, it is more fragrant and less bitter than winter. Garlic cloves are cleaned from the films and passed through a garlic grinder.
Combine the prepared ingredients: beetroot, apple and garlic in a bowl, add cream cheese and salt, mix thoroughly until smooth. Let the spread stand for a while in the refrigerator, 30 minutes is enough for the mixture to soak well. We serve it to the table with freshly baked bread, wheat or rye. It turns out delicious with both bread. Most likely, this spicy snack on the table will attract the attention of your guests primarily due to its juicy bright color, and due to its taste, it will disappear from the table in the first place.
If desired and to taste, cream cheese can be replaced with hard or melted cheese or cottage cheese, in each case a different new taste will turn out. The taste of the spread can be given a nutty note by adding a handful of pine or walnuts crushed in a coffee grinder.
Bon appetit!
