Cooking method
Rice in this recipe is used sweet (or as it is also called - sticky). This is a very popular variety in Asian countries. To prepare sweet rice with dried fruits, you first need to prepare the products:
- rinse the rice several times until the water from under it begins to flow transparent;
- soak rice in cold water for 10 minutes;
- wash and dry dried apricots;
- wash the raisins, scald and dry them.
Next, pour the rice with water, bring to a boil and cook until tender over low heat, stirring occasionally.
While the rice is cooking, cut the dried apricots into small pieces. If you have a large raisin, you can also cut it in half or leave it whole.
Put the cooked rice in a plate, add dried fruits and mix.
Serve hot or cold as breakfast or dessert. We also like to water it with honey.
