Cooking method
Carob is as healthy as it is delicious. Carob powder is obtained from dried and fried (or not fried) pods of an evergreen legume plant from the subtropics. This product contains many vitamins and trace elements, improves digestion and has a soft, sweet and rich taste.
To make porridge from carob, take a saucepan with a thick bottom. Pour milk into it and warm it up a little.
Next, add the carob powder and mix everything thoroughly.
Put oat flakes in milk with carob and cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, until tender.
Wash and finely chop the figs.
A few minutes before the end of cooking porridge, add the prepared figs to the pan and mix.
Put the finished porridge on a plate and serve with the remaining figs, carob syrup and cinnamon.
Bon appetit!
