Lingonberry and Pear Jam
A harmony of flavor and goodness in jam made this way! The jam has an interesting tart-bitter edge — that special taste only lingonberries have. The pears, meanwhile, add a honeyed sweetness. This well-balanced berry-and-fruit combination is sure to please your family and guests. My child happily eats this jam, even though plain lingonberry jam isn't a favorite. You can also use this jam to bake delicious cookies and rugelach, or add it to the filling of open-faced pies for flavor.

- Pick over the lingonberries, wash, and dry them. 2. Wash the pears, remove the stems, halve them, and remove the cores. You can peel them or leave the skin on — entirely up to your taste; I usually leave it. Cut the pears into fairly thin small wedges. 3. Pour the lingonberries into an enameled pot, cover with the sugar, and set over low heat. 4. Gently stir the berries until the sugar dissolves. Cook the lingonberries for 20 minutes. 5. Add the pears and cook for another 15 minutes. 6. Spoon the jam into sterilized jars and seal with sterile lids. 7. Once the jam has cooled completely, move it to a cool place. Enjoy!
