Seafood Medley with Rice

A seafood-and-rice dish — a great choice for dinner! I love both seafood and rice, and putting them together makes a wonderful dish. It's especially nice to see on the table for a romantic dinner!

Cooking method

Cooking time: 20 min
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1

To make a seafood medley, you'll need: rice, shrimp, mussels, scallops, squid, octopus, vegetable oil, and spices and seasonings. You can buy a ready-made seafood mix — they're sold in every supermarket now as a "seafood medley."

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2

Cook the rice over medium heat until the water boils off (about 15 minutes).

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3

While step 2 is going, prep the seafood — rinse it and leave it to drain.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4

Pour in the vegetable oil, heat it, and add the seafood medley to the pan. Season the mix with spices (salt, pepper) — I like to add oregano or basil. Wait for the liquid to evaporate, stirring occasionally.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5

Add the rice to the mixture, stir, and fry everything together for another 2–3 minutes.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6

The dish is ready. Plate it (in portions) on a flat plate.

    Enjoy ;-)

  • This is one of my favorite recipes. You don't have to fry it all together and stir — you can just spoon the seafood over the rice. When frying the seafood, you can add a drop of lemon juice. Feel free to experiment! It's hearty and wholesome — enjoy!
