No-Bake Banana Pudding
Said to be a favorite treat of Elizabeth I — give it a try, you won't regret it! Making banana pudding turned out to be not just a fun process, but a wonderfully fragrant one too.
Cooking method
-
Step 1:
Heat the milk, but don't let it boil. Beat the yolks lightly and stir a quarter of the warm milk into them. Mix the dry ingredients, add milk to them, and stir. Add the rest of the milk and cook over medium heat until the mixture thickens. Take it off the heat and cover with a lid to keep a skin from forming. Let it cool.
-
Step 2:
While the pudding cools, prepare 2 dishes. Line the bottom of each with cookies.
-
Step 3:
Add sliced banana rounds.
-
Step 4:
Pour pudding over the top.
-
Step 5:
Top with banana rounds and two cookies, then pour in the remaining pudding. Refrigerate for about 2 hours so the pudding sets.
-
Step 6:
Serve the no-bake banana pudding with whipped cream.
