- These amounts make about one 1-liter jar of finished mushrooms. Wash the oyster mushrooms, cut them into not-too-small pieces, boil in water for 20 minutes, drain well in a colander, and let cool. In a bowl with the mushrooms, add the salt, sugar, vinegar, bay leaf, allspice peppercorns, cloves, and an onion cut into half-rings. Dress everything with the vegetable oil and mix well.
