  • I've known this recipe for delicious fruit jam for ages — it comes from my grandmother, who made this fruit treat every year to put up for winter. With an abundance of fruit on hand, you can make this wonderful jam. You can keep it for winter or enjoy it freshly made. It's a very simple, tasty recipe, and here's how to do it: wash all the fruit listed above — apples, pears, peaches, plums, and the lemon — remove the pits and seeds, and cut everything into small pieces. Mix the fruit, sprinkle it with sugar, and let it sit for a while. Once the fruit has released its juice, set it on the stove and cook, stirring now and then, until done. Spoon the finished jam into sterile jars and seal them. It's best stored in a cellar. And there you have it — a tasty, wholesome fruit jam. It's also wonderful in all kinds of pies. Eat up and enjoy — and happy tea time!
