Cooking method

Cooking time: 40 min
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1

Pour boiling water over the buckwheat, cover with a lid, and let it stand for 30–40 minutes.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2

Brown the ground meat, then add the diced tomatoes.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3

Stir half a packet of Maggi bolognese seasoning into the meat and tomatoes. (You can use the whole packet — go by taste.) Add a splash of water and let it simmer for 10–15 minutes.

  • There's no need to actually boil the buckwheat here — simply letting it steep in boiling water is enough. To my mind, it comes out juicier that way.
