Crab Stick Rolls with Cheese
A quick, tasty appetizer in just 20 minutes! Stuffed crab sticks make a great little snack. Crab sticks are a real go-to when you need to throw together a salad in a hurry — and if you stuff them, they turn into a wonderful appetizer, too. Just pay attention to the sticks themselves: not all of them unroll equally well.
Cooking method
-
Step 1:
The ingredients. Hard-boil the egg, and pop the processed cheese in the freezer beforehand so it grates more easily.
-
Step 2:
Grate the egg on the medium (cheese) holes of a box grater.
-
Step 3:
Grate the processed cheese on the medium (cheese) holes.
-
Step 4:
Press the garlic through a garlic press.
-
Step 5:
Mix the egg, cheese, and garlic, and stir in the mayonnaise until the filling has the consistency of thick sour cream.
-
Step 6:
Carefully unroll the crab sticks — and again, watch out, not all of them unroll well. Spread the filling down the middle of each stick and smooth it out.
-
Step 7:
Roll the crab stick back up into its original shape.
-
Step 8:
Chill the rolls in the fridge, then take them out and slice each one on the diagonal.
-
Step 9:
Arrange the appetizer on a platter.
