Steamed Cherry Vareniki with Semolina
These sweet dumplings are always a big hit with the family. You can use this recipe to make vareniki with any berry you like. Cherry vareniki are one of my favorite treats from my faraway childhood. :) My grandmother made them, and my brother and I would pit the cherries. The task never felt like a chore, because we knew our efforts would be rewarded with a wonderful meal. :) Now I make cherry vareniki the same way my grandmother did, and I'm happy to share her recipe with you. Delicious!
