Steamed dumplings with cherries and semolina

These sweet dumplings will be very popular with relatives. According to this recipe, you can cook dumplings with any berries, to taste. Dumplings with cherries are one of my favorite treats from my distant childhood :) My grandmother cooked them, and my brother and I chose the bones from the cherries. And this process was not even tiring, because we knew that our efforts would be rewarded with excellent food :) And now I cook dumplings with cherries according to the same recipe that my grandmother used to cook them. We separate the whites from the yolks, we will not actually need the yolks. Whisk the proteins into a foam, add milk, water, flour, salt, knead the dough. We leave it for half an hour. 
At this time we are preparing the filling. Cherries (as I said, the berries should be freed from the pits :) For this case, in general, you should put your children or husband before you even take up the preparation of the dough) pour sugar and semolina and also set aside for half an hour. If you are surprised by semolina, I explain, it is used so that all the juice does not flow out of the berries during cooking and the dumplings do not fall apart. And it does not affect the taste at all.
It remains only to stick dumplings and boil them in salted water. And eat with pleasure! :)
If you want to cook dumplings with cherries for a couple, then use either a conventional (Soviet) pressure cooker with a special mesh, or a steamer.
