Cooking method

  1. Step 1:

    Step 1

Gather all your ingredients: sweet bell peppers, garlic, salt, vinegar, and vegetable oil. I used yellow peppers, but you can use other colors (red, green) or a mix to make the dish as bright and colorful as possible. I didn't list fresh herbs (dill or parsley) among the ingredients, but I'd recommend having some on hand, washed and finely chopped.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2

Start by choosing whole, undamaged peppers, washing them well, and patting them dry with a paper towel. At the same time, peel the garlic and slice it into thin slivers.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3

Make a small cross-shaped cut near the tip of each pepper and tuck the garlic slivers inside through that slit.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4

Lay the prepared peppers in a skillet with hot vegetable oil and fry them on all sides until browned. Don't forget to cover the pan with a lid so the peppers steam through nicely.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5

Once all the peppers are done, transfer them to a platter, sprinkle with vinegar, and season with salt and the fresh herbs.

    Step 6

Serve cold or hot. I'm sure your family and friends will love this simple, tasty vegetable appetizer. I'm so glad to share this recipe and show you how to pan-fry bell peppers. Enjoy!
