Cooking method
-
Step 1:
Gather the ingredients from the list, then follow along to see how to fry tilapia — a very tasty, inexpensive, and healthy fish.
-
Step 2:
Cut each fillet in half lengthwise.
-
Step 3:
Transfer the pieces of fish to a plate.
-
Step 4:
Rub each piece well with salt and pepper on both sides. You can let the fish sit a while to soak up the seasoning, or cook it right away to save time.
-
Step 5:
Put flour in a clean, dry dish — I always sift it first.
-
Step 6:
Dredge each piece of fish generously in flour on both sides.
-
Step 7:
Do the same with all the pieces.
-
Step 8:
Set a clean, dry skillet over high heat and warm it for half a minute. Pour in the vegetable oil, heat it a bit more, then turn the heat down to medium. Add the fish to the hot oil and fry on one side until golden, about 2–3 minutes.
-
Step 9:
Then flip it and fry for the same amount of time, until cooked through. Fry all the fish this way. Serve with any side dish, and don't forget a tasty salad. Enjoy!
