A holiday chicken like no other — OH, is it good! A delicious, showstopping roast chicken for a festive table that will win over every guest at first bite.
Cooking method
-
Step 1:
Rinse the whole chicken and carefully bone it out, separating the meat from the bones.
-
Step 2:
Make the marinade: in a bowl, combine 1/2 tsp paprika, 1/2 tsp curry powder, 1/2 tsp oregano, salt and red and black pepper to taste, coriander crushed in a mortar, and 4 cloves of garlic. Pour in a little vegetable oil and stir until smooth.
-
Step 3:
Rub the marinade all over the chicken, inside and out, then seal it in a bag and refrigerate for an hour.
-
Step 4:
Slice the mushrooms and add them to a well-heated skillet.
-
Step 5:
To the browned mushrooms, add vegetable oil, black pepper, salt, chopped onion, and lemon juice. Cook until the onion turns translucent, stir, and turn off the heat.
-
Step 6:
Cut the potatoes into small cubes.
-
Step 7:
Add the potatoes and finely chopped dill to the pan and stir.
-
Step 8:
Grate the hard cheese.
-
Step 9:
Stir the grated cheese into the finished filling.
-
Step 10:
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and pack the chicken tightly with the filling.
-
Step 11:
Place the chicken in a roasting pan. Stitch the opening closed with toothpicks, tie the legs together with kitchen twine, and wrap the wing tips in foil.
-
Step 12:
Roast the chicken for 40 minutes, take it out, lay a piece of foil over the breast, and return it to the oven for another 35–40 minutes.
-
Step 13:
Transfer the finished chicken to a platter and bring it to the holiday table.
-
Step 14:
Cook it delicious, cook it simple, cook this stuffed holiday chicken together at home!
- A stuffed holiday chicken for your festive table unlike anything you've had before! And it is so good — juicy and tender enough to leave every guest amazed!
