Skillet Apple Cake

The warm, inviting aroma of this cake will bring the whole family running! There's a saying in cooking that the longer something takes to make, the faster it disappears — but this skillet cake breaks the rule. It's quick to put together and turns out wonderfully delicious.

    1. Beat the eggs with the sugar using a mixer. Add the sifted flour along with the baking soda slaked in the vinegar, and beat again. The batter should have the consistency of pancake batter. 2. Wash the apples and cut them into slices. 3. Stir the apples into the batter. Add a little vanilla or cinnamon if you like. 4. Heat the skillet well, grease it with vegetable oil, and pour in the apple batter. 5. Fry over low heat for 30–40 minutes, until a golden crust forms. When the house fills with the wonderful smell of apples, the cake is ready!
