  • First, cut each hot dog in half lengthwise, then make a lengthwise slit down one side of each half. Use a toothpick to pin both ends of each hot dog together (so it curls into a flower shape), set them in a skillet heated with butter, fry lightly, and crack a quail egg into the center of each. As soon as the egg is set, carefully lift the fried "daisies" out of the pan, place them on plates, and garnish with cucumber slices and dill.
