  • First, cook the rice. Preheat the oven to 250°F (120°C). Bring water to a boil with 1 teaspoon of salt and the butter. When it boils, pour it over the rice in a glass, ovenproof bowl. Cover the bowl with foil and bake on a middle rack for about an hour. Heat a skillet over medium heat and fry the bacon until crisp, then remove it. Add the finely chopped onion to the pan and cook for 5 to 6 minutes. Pour in the chicken broth and vinegar, and season with salt, sugar, pepper, and mustard. Stir well. Add the fried bacon and the rice and simmer, stirring constantly, for another 10 minutes. Take it off the heat, sprinkle with dill, and let it cool slightly before serving.
