Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 30 min
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

How to make red pancakes? Prepare the necessary ingredients. Pre-boil the beetroot and squeeze the juice out of it. Or you can take ready-made beets in vacuum packaging (sold in Pyaterochka). Don't take any store-bought juices - they can be very salty.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Melt the butter in any way convenient for you: on the stove, in the microwave.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

In a separate bowl, mix the eggs with sugar and salt until smooth.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

    Pour milk to the eggs.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Then add beetroot juice. Stir the mixture with a whisk until smooth.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

Pour vegetable and melted butter into the egg mixture. Mix it up.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

Sift flour through a sieve and add parts to the dough. Keep an eye on its consistency - you may have more or less flour than me.

  8. Step 8:

    Step 8.

You should get a homogeneous liquid dough without lumps.

  9. Step 9:

    Step 9.

Bake the pancakes in a greased frying pan for 1 minute on each side, making sure that they do not fry too much and do not lose their beautiful red color.

  10. Step 10:

    Step 10.

It takes me 1.5 minutes per pancake to roast. At maximum heat. Focus on your stove and frying pan. You may have to reduce or increase the roasting time.

Amazing pancakes turned out. And most importantly - quickly. Apparently beetroot juice has some special property - not a single pancake has broken. Fried well, very quickly - I didn't have time to put the ladle, as it's time to turn it over. Thanks to this, the pancakes turned out not too fried, beautiful pink color, with a delicate velour pattern. And I'm not talking about the taste at all! So be sure to cook - you won't regret it.

Use oil with a high smoking temperature for frying! Any oils are useful only until a certain temperature is reached - the point of smoking, at which the oil begins to burn and toxic substances, including carcinogens, are formed in it.
Unrefined oils, with rare exceptions, have a low smoking point. There are a lot of unfiltered organic particles in them, which quickly begin to burn.
Refined oils are more resistant to heating, and their smoking point is higher. If you are going to cook food in the oven, on a frying pan or grill, make sure that you use oil with a high smoking point. The most common of the oils with a high smoking point: refined varieties of sunflower, olive and grape.

Be prepared for the fact that flour may need more or less than indicated in the recipe. Focus not on the amount of flour, but on the desired consistency of the dough. To avoid mistakes, read about flour and its properties!
