Cooking method
- Zrazy made this way are a lot like meat rolls, but wonderfully tasty — especially the sauce, which is good enough to eat by the spoonful on its own. This dish can dress up any special-occasion table. So let's make some great, delicious beef zrazy. Cut the meat with the grain into slices about 1/2 inch (1.5 cm) thick, then pound them thin. Finely chop the onion and mix it with the breadcrumbs and room-temperature butter. Spread the filling over the prepared beef slices and roll them up. Secure the edge of each roll with a toothpick. Dredge the zrazy in flour and fry them in vegetable oil over high heat until golden on all sides. Transfer the zrazy to a saucepan, spread the remaining filling on top, add enough water to cover them, and salt. Cover and simmer over low heat for about 1.5 hours. Serve Warsaw-style beef zrazy with any side dish. Enjoy!
