How to make bulgur in Turkish? Prepare all the necessary ingredients for this. Wash the bell peppers and tomatoes in running water from contamination. Take tomato juice thick and saturated. Home is best.
Step 2:
Peel the onion and rinse in cold running water. Then cut not very finely.
Step 3:
Cut the bell peppers and tomatoes into small pieces.
Step 4:
Heat the frying pan to a hot state and pour a little vegetable oil. Put the chopped onion and fry it for a couple of minutes until transparent.
Step 5:
Then add the bell pepper and tomatoes. Fry everything together for another 2-3 minutes. Tomatoes will let the juice, and the bell pepper will become a little softer.
Step 6:
Then add the washed bulgur and a couple of slices of crushed garlic to the pan. Garlic will give the dish a pleasant aroma.
Step 7:
Fill everything with tomato juice and water. Add paprika, ground pepper and a little salt. Mix everything, cover with a lid and simmer on low heat for 15-20 minutes. During this time, the bulgur will increase in size and absorb all the liquid. When all the liquid has evaporated, remove the pan from the heat and leave it to stand under the lid for a while. 10-15 minutes will be enough.
Step 8:
Bulgur in Turkish is ready! Serve hot as a main dish or as a side dish to meat or fish dishes. Enjoy your meal!
For cooking, it is better to use filtered or bottled water that is neutral to taste. If you use tap water, keep in mind that it can give the dish an unpleasant characteristic taste.
You can check whether the oil has warmed up well enough in a frying pan in a simple way. Lower a wooden spatula into it. If bubbles have gathered around it, then you can start the frying process.
Important! An incorrectly selected frying pan can ruin even the best recipe. All the details on how to choose the perfect frying pan for different dishes read here .
