Oven-Baked Pork Schnitzel
A juicy, aromatic meat dish for dinner. Schnitzel is a piece of breaded meat. It's most often deep-fried, but baking it in the oven makes it lighter and cuts way down on the oil. The finished schnitzel has a gorgeous, crispy golden crust and the irresistible aroma of roasted meat.
Cooking method
-
Step 1:
Start making the pork schnitzel by prepping all your ingredients.
-
Step 2:
Cut the pork into pieces about 1.5–2 cm (¾ inch) thick.
-
Step 3:
Lightly pound the meat with a kitchen mallet.
-
Step 4:
Marinate the pounded pork in the mayonnaise for 1 hour.
-
Step 5:
Finely chop the garlic.
-
Step 6:
Mix the flour with the salt, coriander, and ground black pepper.
-
Step 7:
Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Dredge the pork in the seasoned flour and scatter the garlic over the top. Place the meat on a parchment-lined baking sheet greased with sunflower oil. Bake the schnitzels for 40 minutes.
-
Step 8:
The finished schnitzels take on a lovely golden color and a subtle aroma of seasonings and garlic.
-
Step 9:
Serve the schnitzels with any side you like. Enjoy!
