Chicken with Tamarind Juice

Try this juicy, tangy chicken! Simple and delicious! Chicken with tamarind juice comes out incredibly flavorful and moist, and it looks so appetizing. This dish is easy to pull off—the chicken cooks right on the grill. Just be sure to pick a lean cut, skinless and boneless; breast fillet works best, but you can also use a whole breast with the bones and skin removed.

    1. Peel the onion and garlic and chop finely. Seed the chili pepper and chop it as well. Sauté the onion, garlic, and pepper in the olive oil, add the cumin, stir, and cook over low heat for about 7 minutes, until the onion turns soft and translucent. 2. Pour in the tamarind juice, bring to a boil, then lower the heat and simmer until thickened, about 5 minutes. 3. Transfer the mixture to a blender and blend until smooth, about 30 seconds. Pour the sauce into a bowl and let it cool a little. 4. Cut the chicken into bite-size pieces, thread onto wooden skewers, drizzle lightly with olive oil, and grill until golden on all sides, about 6 minutes total. 5. Brush the chicken with the tamarind sauce and keep grilling, turning now and then, until the chicken is cooked through, about 10 more minutes. 6. Chop the green onion, move the skewers to a platter, scatter the green onion over the chicken, and serve. Enjoy!
