Pork ham in apple sauce with garlic and cranberries

Be sure to cook such a ham - it's incredibly delicious! I cook ham very often (this is my favorite part of pork) and every time in a new way. Of all the recipes, this one is the most successful. The ham turns out to be a beautiful golden color, with a sweet honey crust, soaked in apple juice and honey. Cranberries and rosemary add spicy-sour notes to the meat.

Cooking method

Cooking time: 2 hours

1. Wash the meat, dry it, rub it with salt and pepper.

2. Fry the ham in vegetable oil over high heat for 3-4 minutes on all sides to give it a golden color.

3. Peel the onion and cut into thick rings. Disassemble the garlic head into separate slices, peel them. Add the onion and garlic to the pan to the ham, fry for a few more minutes.

4. Sauce. Mix apple juice with honey and vinegar.

5. Pour the sauce into the pan. Simmer for about 5 minutes, turning the ham over so that it is soaked in apple-honey sauce.

6. Transfer the meat with apple gravy to a baking dish, arrange the onion, garlic and rosemary sprigs around.

7. Cover the mold with foil and put it in a preheated 180 ° C oven for 1.5 hours. Periodically pour the sauce over the meat from the bottom of the mold.

8. Add cranberries 5 minutes before they are ready, wait for the berries to burst.

9. Cut the finished meat into slices. Serve with sauce.
