Kulebyak with sauerkraut from sour dough

Delicious pie with juicy filling and amazing flavor! Kulebyak with cabbage on sour dough is a Russian traditional pastry, a closed yeast pie with a variety of fillings. My family really like it when I cook with sauerkraut. Bake this delicious pie too - it will be a real holiday for your family!

1. Finely chop the onion and fry it a little in a frying pan with the addition of vegetable oil. Sauerkraut is squeezed out and continue to fry together with onions. Let the filling cool down.
2. Roll out one part of the sour dough, it should be thinner at the edges than in the middle. Transfer to a greased baking sheet. We put the filling in the center and distribute it. Close the top with the second part of the dough.
3. Grease the pie with beaten egg and send it to the oven for about 40 minutes, bake at 180 degrees, until a golden crust forms.
