Mix up your menu with tasty seafood! Seafood is a great alternative to meat dishes, so it's well worth working into your rotation. Here's a recipe for squid braised in a creamy sauce—serve it with mashed potatoes or rice. Give it a try; I really recommend it!

    1. Clean the squid, removing the innards and the quill (the transparent backbone), and rinse under running water.
    1. Put the cleaned bodies in a bowl and cover with boiling water. Leave them for 1–2 minutes, then transfer to a bowl of ice water. After that, peel off the skin (it should curl up and slip off easily).
    1. Cut the prepared squid into thin rings, add them to melted butter, and fry for about 2–3 minutes.
    1. Sprinkle the squid rings with the flour, pour in the cream, and season with ground black pepper and salt. Now add enough boiling water to just cover everything in the pan.
    1. Cover the pan and simmer the squid for 3–4 minutes.
  • Plate it up, garnish with parsley, and serve!
  • Enjoy!
