American pancakes

Quick, delicious, and sure to make the kids and family happy! I nailed it on my very first try, and I already know this recipe has earned a permanent spot in my cookbook.

  1. Step 1:

    Beat the eggs with the sugar and salt until foamy.

    Add one cup of the milk and whisk well (I used a blender), then gradually add the flour, whisking constantly to break up any lumps.

    Repeat the previous step, adding the remaining cup of milk and the rest of the flour.

    1. Pour in the vegetable oil (you can use melted butter instead).
    2. Stir the baking soda into the batter and mix well one more time. Let it rest for 5–10 minutes. Meanwhile, heat up your skillet.

    Cook over medium heat. As soon as bubbles form and start to pop, flip the pancake and cook for about 20 seconds more.
