Bigus with cabbage, minced meat and rice

Cooking method

Cooking time: 1 h 30 min

1. Boil the rice in salted water in advance according to the instructions on the package.
2. Peel the carrots and onions. Grate the carrots on a coarse grater, and chop the onion finely.
3. Chop the cabbage.
4. Cut tomatoes into cubes.
5. Melt the butter in a frying pan, put the onion in it, fry for 5 minutes.
6. Add the carrots to the onion, simmer all together until it becomes soft.
7. Put the minced meat in the pan, and also add salt and pepper.
8. Mix everything well, cook over medium heat until all the liquid evaporates.
9. Add the tomato, stir, and simmer for 7 minutes.
10. Now put the cabbage in the pan, mix everything again. Cover the pan with a lid and simmer the cabbage until tender.
11. When the cabbage becomes almost soft, put the rice in the pan, stirring, simmer all together for another 5 minutes.
12. Sprinkle the finished dish with fresh finely chopped herbs.
