Pork Skewers with Smoked Bacon
These are SO, SO good!!! The meat comes out soft and tender. Give them a try)
Cooking method
-
Step 1:
Cut the pork into medium chunks. Dice the onion and mince the garlic. Stir 1 1/2 tablespoons of salt into 2 cups (0.5 liter) of water, add 2 tablespoons of vinegar, and season with pepper. Pour the marinade over the meat and let it sit for 2 hours.
-
Step 2:
Then drain off the liquid, stir in the adjika, and leave the meat in the fridge overnight.
-
Step 3:
The next day the meat will be ready to go.
-
Step 4:
Thread the meat onto skewers, alternating with pieces of bacon. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water first. We don't need the onion anymore — toss it out; it's already done its job.
-
Step 5:
Heat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Set the skewers on a rack and bake for 30 minutes. Serve garnished with lettuce leaves, bell pepper, and fresh herbs. Enjoy!
