Cooking method

Step 1:
Drop the tomatoes into boiling water for 10–15 seconds. Lift them out and slip off the skins. Cut them into pieces, then blend until smooth.

Step 2:
Peel and finely chop the onion. Sauté the onion and the pressed garlic in vegetable or olive oil.

Step 3:
Add the tomatoes and simmer over medium heat until the liquid cooks off.

Step 4:
Season with salt and stir in the oregano and basil.
- This amount makes enough sauce for four 10-inch (25 cm) pizzas.
