Fried Eggs, a New Way
A classic sunny-side-up egg with a twist. Delicious and pretty! So good.
Cooking method
-
Step 1:
Rinse the eggs, wipe them dry, and put them in the freezer for about 6 hours — I set them out in the evening so I have a great breakfast in the morning. The next day, take them out and let them thaw.
-
Step 2:
Separate out the yolk.
-
Step 3:
Fry the egg white, sprinkle it with fresh herbs, and set the yolk on top.
-
Step 4:
You can also make egg-in-a-hole toast. Cut the loaf into slices about 1/2 inch (1 cm) thick, and cut a hole out of the center of one slice. Add a little vegetable oil (or butter, whichever you prefer) to the pan. Fry the toast on one side, flip it, pour an egg white into the cut-out hole, cover with a lid, and let it cook through. Set the yolk on top of the cooked white, and brush the toast with a bit of yolk. Really tasty — the white in the toast comes out as tender as a souffle, with the yolk on top.
