- Give this really tasty Kyrgyz dish a try — it's called the Chuy-style appetizer. It's not only loaded with vitamins but also very filling and nourishing. One of its ingredients is glass noodles (funchoza), which in the East are considered a foundation of health and long life. The dish comes together quickly and tastes great, and you don't need any special skills to make it. I'd recommend this recipe even to bachelors, because there's not a single line like "take a clean pot." So let's get started. First, cut the radish and the bell pepper (seeded and cored first) into strips. Finely chop the garlic, too. Cut the tomatoes into thin slices. Trim the membranes and silverskin off the lamb and cut it into small pieces or cubes. Then heat the oil in a skillet. Add the meat and cook, stirring, for 5–6 minutes. Add the onion and cook, stirring, until translucent. Then add the rest of the vegetables and braise for another 8–10 minutes, then add the garlic, ground black pepper, and vinegar. Add other spices too, if you like. While the stir-fry cooks, boil water in a pot, drop in the glass noodles, and cook for about 10 minutes. Then combine the noodles with the stir-fry, and the Chuy-style appetizer is ready. Serve and enjoy.
