Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
1.Prepare all the products for making croutons. Cheese can be used both purchased and homemade. The main thing is that the product is well rubbed and melted. If desired, you can take white bread instead of a loaf.
Step 2:
2.Using a sharp knife, cut the loaf into pieces of the same thickness, it is about 1 cm. Then cut the slices in half, or leave in the whole version.
Step 3:
3.Break the raw eggs into a deep dish. Add salt and ground black pepper, mix the mass with a whisk. You can also add a fragrant seasoning, for example, for chicken or vegetables.
Step 4:
4.Pour cold milk into the egg mixture, stir until smooth.
Step 5:
5.Rinse the parsley with water. Finely chop the twigs with a knife. Pour into the main mass, mix.
Step 6:
6.Grind the cheese on a fine grater, add it to the general mixture. Stir the products with a whisk, it turns out a cheese-egg batter for croutons.
Step 7:
7.Dip the loaf slices into the resulting mass.
Step 8:
8.Pour vegetable oil into a preheated frying pan. After a minute, spread out the croutons. They are fried very quickly over medium heat.
Step 9:
9.After about a minute, turn the croutons to the other side, fry until golden brown. Remove the hot croutons on a plate, cool slightly and serve with pickle, borscht or just with any drink. Enjoy your meal!
Such delicious croutons can be made from a stale loaf or bread. If there is a lot of oil on the sandwiches after frying, then they should be left on a paper napkin for about 3 minutes. Instead of parsley, you can add dill to the batter. Fresh frozen greens are also suitable.
