To make "Appetitka" tomato-apple relish for winter, gather the ingredients from the list: tomatoes, bell pepper, apples, carrots, onion, garlic, and spices. The color of your relish depends directly on the color of what goes in. If you use tomatoes and peppers that aren't red, the sauce will come out much paler and less appetizing.

Run the tomatoes through a meat grinder or chop them in a food processor, add the minced garlic, and simmer for about half an hour.
