Step-by-step cooking
So, first you need to steam the cabbage leaves in for a few minutes, cover with ice water, dry. This is necessary so that the leaves become soft and they can be easily folded. Then we make such minced meat: boiled lamb minced through a meat grinder, pre-soaked and, of course, pressed white bread, herbs, pepper, boiled rice and fried onions. Mix everything thoroughly, slide it onto a cabbage leaf and roll it up.
Now grease the pan with butter, put chopped onions and carrots on the bottom, cabbage rolls on top and send it to the oven. When the cabbage rolls are browned, pour the broth, add tomato paste and simmer until tender. Bon appetit!
