Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
How to bake sea bass in foil? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. If your sea bass fish is frozen, then it must be thawed in advance. It is best to leave it to lie on the bottom shelf of the refrigerator so that it thaws on its own. To speed up defrosting, do not use hot water. Such extreme defrosting negatively affects the taste of the finished fish, making it dry.
Step 2:
Carefully gut the fish, removing all the insides. The head can not be cut off. The whole fish will look more beautiful on the table ready-made. Rinse the cleaned fish well in running water. The fish has very sharp fins - be careful!
Step 3:
Wash the washed fish a little with paper towels to remove excess moisture from it. Sprinkle a little lemon juice on the inside of the fish. This will interrupt the characteristic and intrusive fishy smell.
Step 4:
Then coat the fish inside and out with olive oil, salt and spices. I use dried dill as a spice. But you can also use a ready-made set of spices for fish. Put the smeared fish on a sheet of foil and cover it on all sides with lemon slices. If desired, you can make longitudinal cuts in the fish and insert lemon slices into them.
Step 5:
Wrap the fish in foil and put it in a baking dish. To do this, you can use a ceramic, glass or metal mold. Place the fish pan in the oven, preheated to 200 degrees, for 30 minutes. Be guided by your oven.
Step 6:
During this time, the fish will have time to fully prepare. Remove it from the foil and transfer it to the prepared plate. Just do it very carefully, because the fish is hot!
Step 7:
Sea bass is a very tasty and healthy fish. There are very few bones in it, so it's a pleasure to eat it. Garnish with lemon slices when serving. Bon appetit!
Note that the quality and taste of the finished dish largely depends on the proper defrosting of the ingredients. How to avoid mistakes and choose the best way, read the article about defrosting.
In order for the oven to have time to heat up to the desired temperature, turn it on in advance (10-20 minutes before the start of cooking).
