Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
To cook beef with zucchini in the oven, we will need a simple set of products: beef, zucchini, tomatoes, onions, garlic, herbs, cheese and spices as desired.
Step 2:
Rinse the beef pulp and dry it with paper napkins. Remove excess veins and film from the meat, if any. Cut a piece of meat into as small pieces as possible, as an option you can make minced beef. In the recipe, the meat was chopped by hand finely.
Step 3:
Peel and wash the onion, cut into cubes or half rings.
Step 4:
Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan. Send the chopped onion to fry until a characteristic smell and golden hue appear.
Step 5:
The next step is to send the sliced beef meat (or minced meat) into the pan. Mix everything well.
Step 6:
Wash tomatoes and cut into medium-sized cubes.
Step 7:
Put tomatoes in a frying pan with meat, add finely chopped garlic. Add salt to taste, at this stage you can add your favorite seasonings and spices, such as dry basil, oregano, ground sweet paprika and so on. Mix all the products thoroughly, reduce the heat to medium and simmer all together for about forty minutes under a closed lid. Periodically it is necessary to open the lid and stir the meat.
Step 8:
Wash the zucchini. Cut each fruit in half.
Step 9:
Using a teaspoon, remove the middle in each part, as in the photo. The pulp can be finely chopped and added to the meat for juiciness. In the recipe, the middle removed from the zucchini was not used.
Step 10:
Fill each half with "peas" with beef. Cover the baking dish with baking paper. Put the zucchini on a baking sheet and send it to a preheated oven. Bake at a temperature of 190-200 degrees on the "top- bottom" mode for at least thirty to forty minutes.
Step 11:
Sprinkle each zucchini with grated cheese and send it to bake again until the cheese browns and a golden crust forms. It will take about 10-15 more minutes.
Step 12:
Remove the finished zucchini from the oven, pepper to taste with allspice and garnish with fresh herbs. Serve hot.
