Cooking method
To prepare a delicious stuffed duck, you need to choose it correctly: its skin should be light, and the meat should not be dark.
Before cooking, the duck needs to be pickled, and preferably for 10-12 hours. Duck stuffed with potatoes is prepared as follows. First, all the necessary products are prepared. For the marinade, mayonnaise, honey and mustard are mixed. The duck is first thoroughly rubbed on all sides with salt, pepper and garlic (3 cloves), and only then with the prepared marinade. While the meat is marinating, the potatoes are cleaned, washed and dried with a towel.
Then fry whole potatoes in vegetable oil until a beautiful crust appears, and only then sprinkle with salt and the remaining garlic, sprinkle with your favorite herbs and seasonings. The duck carcass is stuffed with potatoes with seasonings. The incision on the abdomen is sewn with a simple thread.
Pour half a glass of water into the baking dish, put the duck and send it to the preheated oven at 220 degrees for 2 hours, watering every half hour with the fat flowing from the duck. If you use homemade duck, the cooking time may increase to 2.5 — 3 hours. Duck stuffed with potatoes and baked in the oven is ready! Bon appetit!
